My Thai Connection

The early days

I was introduced to this amazing country when the U.S. Air Force stationed me at Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base during the tail end of the Viet Nam "conflict" in 1974.

As a young airman who was born and raised on a farm in southern Idaho, the year I spent here was to be a cultural shock treatment that enfluenced the rest of my life in many ways.

I met a girl (what G.I. didn't :)) and we were married a year later. We now live in Idaho with a son and two grandsons. My wife has two sons from an early relationship, their wifes and children, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and more nephews, nieces, and cousins that I can keep track of.

And now that my son is grown and married we are traveling back to Thailand every couple of years to visit her family.

I will be happy to share my thoughts, experiences, and photos here.
